Learning Principles
← FoundationsUnderstanding should remain usable when the wording, context or level of support changes.
Understanding and reasoning
A method becomes more reliable when a student can explain what it represents and why it fits the question. Representations and worked comparisons should reveal the route to an answer—not only whether the final answer is correct.
Evidence and sources
Claims should be matched to appropriate evidence, with scope, date and uncertainty visible. The same habit matters in a Maths explanation, a career decision and a current-affairs article.
Error analysis
A mistake can point to a misread question, a misconception or a calculation slip. Inspect the working before deciding what support is needed.
Independent transfer
Change the wording, context or unknown gradually. Record the help used, then revisit a comparable task with less support.
Mathematical resilience
Make the next step manageable without turning persistence into pressure. Clear mental models give a student something dependable to return to when a question feels unfamiliar.
Dishantra resources are independent learning companions. They do not diagnose learning needs or replace a teacher, school curriculum or professional support.
